Krasnoyarsk residents were reminded of the specifics of charging for heating in May

Krasnoyarsk power engineers reminded why in May there is no recalculation for heating if it was not on all days.
This pressing question is often asked by residents of houses where there is no communal heat meter.
“In these houses, service fees are charged according to the standard approved by regional authorities. With this calculation, residents pay in equal parts for all months of the heating season – both in cold January and warm May. These are uniform rules established at the federal level. The law does not provide for a reduction in fees in September and May, when heating is not turned on on all days. But on the other hand, it does not increase the fee in the coldest months (for example, when it was −40°C). And in houses where there is a common house meter, charges are made only for the heat that was actually spent. They pay strictly according to the readings of the device,” explained the SGC.
Specialists also prepared cards for residents with information on how heating fees are calculated in Krasnoyarsk, Kansk and Nazarovo.
Details for a specific house can be found by hotline number 8-800-300-55-55.
Let us remind you that in Krasnoyarsk this year the heating season officially ended on May 6 – almost a week earlier than last. At the same time, it became the shortest in the last 17 years – only 225 days.
