Double elimination at Chefs at Knives. A competitor was saved by chef Alexandru Sautner

The 29th edition of the 17th season of the Antena 1 cooking show, broadcast on Wednesday evening, brought moments of tension and criticism from the jurors who declared themselves disappointed by the dishes presented by the contestants.

Chefs Alexandru Sautner, Orlando Zaharia, Richard Abou Zaki and Ștefan Popescu harshly criticized the contestants' dishes, categorizing Wednesday night's test as a total failure.

“I'm simply speechless. I think it was a joke on us! I found some plates that can't be eaten,” said chef Alexandru Sautner, quoted by the Antena 1 website.

“Some plates that shouldn't exist in battle 12. We all thought it was a total lack of respect!”, exclaimed chef Orlando Zaharia.

“From my point of view, 7 people should have left! An aberrant evening in which gastronomic culture went to the trash can!” said chef Richard Abou Zaki.

And chef Ștefan Popescu was disappointed by the performance of the competitors.

Who was eliminated from Chefs at Knives

At the end of the individual events, the results were catastrophic for two competitors. Liviu Filip Micșa, the new member of the burgundy team, and Florin Stamin, from the green team, obtained the lowest scores.

For Liviu, the road to the competition is over. “Today you arrived, today you're going home!”, Richard Abou Zaki told him.

But, when everything seemed lost, chef Alexandru Sautner made an unexpected gesture. Although he originally planned to keep the saving amulet for Marina, he decided to use it to keep Florin Stamin in the contest.

“I can't leave you!” Sautner told his competitor, visibly affected by his mistake, who cooked a leek-based dish with which he failed.

“I couldn't believe it!” said Florin.

Although the elimination was technically double, thanks to the amulet, only Liviu Filip Micșa left the competition in the 29th edition of the 17th season of Chefi la cutițe.
