USA and 39 other worlds of the world have expressed concern about the penetration of Russian drones in Poland

The United States joined Western Allies on Friday in a common statement at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in which they expressed concern about Russia's drone incursion in Poland and accused Moscow of violating international law and the UN founding Charter, Reuters reported.

“We are here to express our profound concern and draw the attention of the international community to another flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter committed by Russia”told reporters Marcin Bosacki, before the meeting, which took place at the request of his country.

“This meeting has been required because Russia's insane actions represent not only a violation of international law, but also a destabilizing escalation that brings the entire region closer to conflict than ever in recent years.”he added, reading a statement on the name of about 40 countries, including the 26 Member States of the European Union, Ukraine, United States, Japan and Canada.

“We take advantage of this opportunity to reiterate our appeal to the Russian Federation to cease, without delay, his war of aggression against Ukraine, to give up any other challenges and to comply with his obligations in the UN Charter.” he insisted. “Climbing cannot lead to peace”warned the high Polish official.

The United States promises that they will defend “every centimeter of NATO territory”

The statement, read by the Secretary of Polish State Marcin Bosacki before the emergency meeting, also asked Russia to stop “his war of aggression against Ukraine” and refrain from other challenges.

In turn, the United States sent the United Nations Security Council on Friday that they will “defend every centimeter of NATO territory”.

“The United States is with our NATO allies in the face of these alarming violations of the air space.” said US interim ambassador to UN, Dorothy Shea, in front of the body of 15 members.

Shea's remarks seem to be the purpose of calming the NATO allies of Washington, after US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the alleged incursion of Russia's drones could have been a mistake, Reuters comments.

Shea also mentioned that Russia has intensified its bombing campaign since Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, as part of the Republican attempt to mediate the over three-year war of Moscow in Ukraine.

“These actions, which are now added to the violation of the airspace of a US ally – intentionally or not – show a huge lack of respect for the US good faith to put an end to this conflict,” Shea said.

“We know, and I repeat, we know it was not a mistake,” Marcin Bosacki insisted in front of the Security Council. He showed photos with a low drone, emphasizing Russian letters on his parts. “Poland will not be intimidated”he added.

The Slovenian ambassador to the UN, Samuel Zbogar, tried in turn to dismantle the suggestion that the incursion of the drones could have been a mistake, declaring the Council: “They are aggressive and dangerous acts, because it is hard to imagine that so many drones have flew to such depth above the Polish territory, without intent.”

Poland, the first NATO country that resorted to the power of fire against Russia

Poland brought down on Wednesday, in his air space, alleged Russian drones, with the support of his NATO allies aircraft, being the first time that a member of the Western military alliance resorted to the power of fire during the Russian War in Ukraine. Russia said that his forces were attacking Ukraine at the time of drones and that they did not intend to hit targets in Poland.

“There were no targets on the Polish territory.” said Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vassili Nebenzia, in front of the Security Council. “The maximum range of action of the drones used in this attack has not exceeded 700 kilometers, which makes it physically impossible for them to reach the Polish territory”he said.

He also stated that Moscow is willing to talk to Poland “If the Polish side is really interested in reducing stresses rather than increased.”

Nebenzia has also rejected “hysterical outbreak” of the countries of the European Union, which, he said, gave in to Ukraine's attempts to extend the conflict beyond its borders, according to EFE.
