“There was another discussion”

Mihai Stoica, the president of the FCSB Board of Directors, is convinced that Elias Charalabous will not accept the offer to return to the Romanian champion for the end of the season.

The Cypriot refused even after a second discussion. Initially, after the departure of Mirel Rădoi, Mihai Stoica had called Elias to propose a short-term return to the club, due to the fact that he has a Pro license.

Just like now, Charalambous said no to a return. The last attempt will come from Gigi Becali, who will call the former coach next week.

Until May 20, FCSB can still rely on Lucian Filip and Alin Stoica. The two do not have a Pro license, but they can train the team thanks to a dispensation that is valid for a month after the clubs run out of a coach.

Mihai Stoica: “I don't think Elias is coming. God forbid Gigi twists him”

“I don't think Elias is coming. May God screw him Gigi. Another discussion was held with him and he said no. I don't know what Elias is thinking.

It was a one-week thing, to help some friends in trouble. We needed a licensed coach to help us for a week,” said Mihai Stoica, at Prima Sport 1.

Mihai Stoica went to France to watch players

Although they still don't have a coach for next season, the red-blues are preparing for the next season. Mihai Stoica went to France to look for players to transfer in the summer.

“Salaries have increased a lot in Portugal. I wanted to see France. Of course in the lower leagues. In the past you could still take, I brought Keșeru from Bastia. Now only from the second league from the bottom or from the third league. But even those from promotion are difficult to bring, they have salaries of over 12,000. It's a lot of money for the lower leagues.

I think that the level of good teams in the third division in France is above that of the second division teams in Portugal. And the attackers are very interesting. I'm leaving again on Saturday, but not to France. It's one thing to know the players, it's another to know the level.

I want to take some to the finals, I'm preparing some documented analysis, along with our newly established department, and Gigi to choose from 4 players. Let him decide, because he gives the money. I also saw from the second and third leagues in France. But there are a lot of players. There are countries that are not in the European community.

They are harder to get, have higher fees. But they play for less money there. I walk on motivation. For a Romanian, it can be a sympathy for FCSB, Dinamo, Rapid. But to a foreigner, only money matters. Planic used to play in Vojvodina, I have 4 times more than him.

For some it matters if we are in the Conference, for others only the money matters, to win more. Those from the former Yugoslavia are not like the Romanians, they never stop, they always want more. They are not like the Romanians, to reach a better salary and stop”, said MM Stoica, at Prima Sport.
