Donald Tusk about cooperation with the president: “The interest requires solidarity”

He emphasized that he seriously treats the US President's declaration that there would be no reduction of the number of American soldiers on Polish soil. “I don't want to diminish the president's effort, but these conversations had been going on much earlier (…),” he added.
He also assessed that Poland's invitation to the G20 meeting does not indicate that Poland has become a member of the G20 Group, he will be invited to meetings of this group.
– I keep my fingers crossed for President Nawrocki, we are ready to support every mission of the President of the Republic of Poland, whoever is to be best prepared for meetings – he emphasized.
He noted that for now he will not cooperate, but he will patiently delve into the subject, because the business is common and requires solidarity. “
He will constantly persuade the opposition and the Chancellery of the President to act jointly and severally in international matters, regardless of who the talks will be held with.
– Poland always has to behave with dignity, with a raised head. Whether you like it or not, I won't talk to anyone on my knees – said the prime minister.
On Wednesday, President Nawrocki met with US President Donald Trump. The US president declared, among others, that American soldiers will stay in Poland. In addition, as the President of the Republic of Poland informed – he invited him to the G20 summit next year in Florida.
