The National Transplant Agency, in partnership with the Professional Football League, announced the launch of the “Passes for Life” campaign.

The initiative will take place in the last two stages of this Super League season. “Just as on the soccer field, team spirit and a decisive pass can bring victory, in real life, a decision to donate can provide the ultimate victory: saving a life,” is the message of the campaign.

Special moments at the last Superliga matches

The objective is to increase the level of information and awareness regarding the importance of organ donation. This will be achieved through the direct involvement of Super League players and clubs.

In addition to the video messages sent by the footballers, the campaign will also include special moments on the pitch: children who have benefited from transplants will be present at the opening of the matches.

“Living symbols of hope and the real impact that organ donation can have,” as the project's initiators announce.

“Let's turn football into a vector of responsibility”

The campaign will also include dedicated activations during matches to increase the visibility of the message and encourage solidarity towards patients in need of transplants.

Behind every successful transplant is a story of life, hope and solidarity. We want to show that each of us can become part of these stories. Football has the power to unite people, and together we can save lives”, is the message sent by Guenadiy Vatachki, the executive director of the Agency.

Project representatives announced that, “through this initiative, we aim to transform football into a vector of solidarity and social responsibility, contributing to saving lives through information and involvement”.

“True performance is not just measured in points”

Moreover, with the help of the Professional Football League, team spirit is transferred beyond the pitch.

“LPF strongly believes in the power of football to unite communities around vital causes. Through this partnership, The Super League becomes a platform for solidarity, proving that true performance is not only measured in points and trophies, but also in the ability to offer hope to those on waiting lists“, the representatives of the forum sent, through a press release.

According to the data of the National Transplant Agency, 3,000 patients in Romania are on the waiting lists for a transplant.
