In Russia, a fake was exposed that the State Traffic Inspectorate prohibits a road sign “Pedestrian crossing”.
As the Ural Meridian news agency writes, in In the Sverdlovsk region, unknown persons sent fake letters to the editorial offices of local media. In them, on behalf of the department, it was reported that the sign was allegedly prohibited, since “the color scheme can cause undesirable associations, undermine public peace and create incorrect visual references, and discredit the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” The “document” was allegedly signed by a police colonel.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the region officially denied this information. No ban on such signs has been introduced and is not planned.
You should only trust messages posted on the official resources of departments.
