CTP makes “the list of post-revolutionary presidents” and accuses Nicușor Dan of having produced “the greatest lesser evil”

Cristian Tudor Popescu again criticized Nicușor Dan, whom he placed last in a hierarchy of post-December presidents.

In a post on Wednesday evening on Facebook, the journalist suggested that Traian Băsescu was the president who “produced the lesser lesser evil”. On the other hand, about Nicușor Dan believes that it produces “the greatest lesser evil”.

In the “top of the post-revolutionary presidents”, as Cristian Tudor Popescu called him, he placed after Traian Băsescu, in this order, Emil Constantinescu, Ion Iliescu, Klaus Iohannis and, lastly, Nicușor Dan.

He mocked President Nicușor Dan for his calls for calm amid the political crisis, saying he imagined him “holding with difficulty a balance bar for tightrope walkers, much bigger and heavier than him, walking with slow and shuffling steps”.

CTP, about the fall of the Bolojan Government: “It pushes Romania onto some downhill tracks”

Cristian Tudor Popescu claims that the PSD-AUR motion of censure, which led to the dismissal of the Bolojan Government on Tuesday, “is pushing Romania down the rails”.

What follows, said the ironic journalist, “is a “period” of political instability and economic-financial collapse under the skilful mediation of President Dan”, “begging for steps towards the EU”, but also “the fall of the country into the Junk category for foreign investors. We are becoming the garbage of Europe”.

“We're switching to the euro spontaneously, because the comatose leu is still worth about as much as the plastic it's made of. The only thing left is to appeal to the IMF. They're helping us, but in exchange for tougher measures than Bolojan's. Will we be able to take them?”, CTP continued.

The journalist warned that, “beyond the IMF, only the Monetary Council awaits us.”

“That is, Romania loses its sovereignty, it no longer has control of the national currency and economic-financial operations, being led by a European board. This is how the sovereigntists can lead Romania to dependence – a paraplegic Romania, as G. Simion would say”, concluded Cristian Tudor Popescu.
