Serious blow for Newcastle, midfielder Bruno Guimaraes (28 years old) has become unavailable for the next two months due to the injury suffered in the match against Tottenham (2-1) on Tuesday.
The captain of the “coçofenes” seriously injured his femoral biceps and left the field limping in the last minutes of the match. Bad luck struck the Brazilian in just his second appearance after returning from another ankle injury.
Bruno Guimaraes will miss two months
The team's manager, Eddie Howe, expressed concern, saying the international midfielder was “a bit anxious because he's never had problems with his biceps”. The diagnosis confirmed the fears, Guimarães being out of the game for a long time, which means that he will also miss the double with Qarabag, from the play-off of the Champions League.
