The gesture made by a minister at the vote of the censure motion: “We will not allow Moscow to choose, through a party like AUR, where things go”

During his speech in the plenary session of the Parliament, the USR Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, brought a compass which he symbolically offered to AUR. He conveyed that the compass represents the direction that Romania will take after the vote, but also the “moral compass” of the initiators of the censure motion, PSD and AUR.

“The motion is not about Ilie Bolojan. It is a confrontation between an old way of doing politics, by which some controlled all the power of state institutions, without competition, without accountability, without transparency, and others who bring selections, who hold accountable those who do not deliver and send those who violate the law to the Prosecutor's Office,” said Radu Miruță.

Compass brought for GOLD

During his speech, Miruță placed a compass on the table, which he said he had brought for AUR.

“I brought you a compass today, to guarantee you that as long as we, from the USR, are in Parliament, we will not allow the country to go in the direction you want. We will not allow Moscow to choose, through a party like AUR, where things go,” said the minister.

He also accused that George Simion is attacking President Nicușor Dan to avoid the partnership made with PSD regarding the censure motion.

“I give you news: as you associated yourself with the PSD today, you aim in vain to run for the presidency, that it will be even easier to lose next time. Some of you lost your moral compass a long time ago and ended up, not only accusing each other of national treason, but you also ended up accusing me. Without facts, without evidence, without any kind of document, because you are afraid of losing your influence”, he added said Miruta.

“Perhaps you remember that lies, manipulation, have never lasted forever. The time has come to face reality. You want control of Romania, but you have 20% of the votes. You behave like boyars, and we serfs, because you exist,” concluded the Minister of Defense.
