One of the most important publishing houses in Romania has just been sold to a Hungarian company

The Curtea Veche publishing house, founded almost 30 years ago, was bought by the largest online bookstore in Hungary, Libri-Bookline, writes Profit.ro.

According to the quoted source, the founder of Curtea Veche, Irina Mate Arsene, sold 51% of the shares, but will continue to be present in the company with 45.92%.

Launched in 2001, as an online antiquities bookstore, Libri-Bookline has become the largest online bookstore in Hungary, but also has the largest network of physical Hungarian bookstores, with annual net revenues of over 20 million euros, Profit writes.
