An assessment of the Russian Federation's losses from attacks on Tuapse has been made public. Rebuilding oil refineries could cost billions

A recent series of attacks by the Ukrainian defense forces on Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian aggressor country caused damage to the city’s port infrastructure and oil refinery amounting to more than $300 million. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on May 5 in Telegram.

We are talking about attacks in April and May 1.

After the attacks, Russia will have to completely restore the Rosneft refinery in Tuapse, which will potentially cost $5 billion, Boris Dodonov, head of the Center for Energy and Climate Research at the Kyiv School of Economics, said in a Washington Post commentary published on May 4.

According to him, a series of attacks on the main Russian oil terminals (Ust-Luga and Primorsk in the Baltic Sea, Novorossiysk in the Black Sea) in late March and early April cost Russia approximately $2.2 billion in lost revenue.

At the same time, the expert emphasized that revenues from Russian oil exports have increased due to a sharp rise in prices due to the war with Iran.
