The illegitimate president of the aggressor country, Russia, Vladimir Putin, will have to decide this summer what to do next – expand the war in Ukraine or move on to diplomacy. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced this on May 4 at the opening of the VIII Summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan, the speech was broadcast by the Office of the President on YouTube.
“This summer will be the moment when [нелегитимный президент России Владимир] Putin will decide what to do next. Expand this war or move to diplomatic paths,” Zelensky said.
The President also stressed that Europe should be at the negotiating table to end the war in Ukraine.
“We are in contact with the United States, we understand their vision and position, but it would be good to develop one common European voice to talk to the Russians,” he said.
