Special protection against drones for the cars of officials and businessmen was created in Russia. It is disguised as a car box – a removable rack on the roof of a car.
The developers told Mash that a request for a mobile kit for recognizing UAVs appeared from government officials and entrepreneurs after the success of the same kit, but in the form of a backpack, in the Northern Military District zone. The new defense system can suppress drones within a radius of 1.5 kilometers, forming an invisible protective dome around the car. When a drone is detected, it emits a signal.
All a person needs to do then is to tap on a specialized tablet a couple of times to give the command “land in a safe place” or “return to the take-off point.” The coordinates of the UAV launch site are immediately transmitted to the rapid response team. The set costs 670 thousand rubles. Engineers said they would begin testing the gadget in two weeks.
