The T1 IT holding project has launched – “T1 IT Camp. Bigtech shift.” Under the mentorship of experienced mentors, students will create real IT solutions at the request of business units, ready for implementation. The key goal is to develop practical skills among beginning specialists and train them to quickly integrate their developments into business.

Young specialists looking for internships where you can gain real experience and cases for your resume (76%), as well as immerse yourself in business processes (50%). Responding to this request, the holding launched “IT camp T1. Bigtech Shift” is a practical intensive course where students of technical and IT specialties can go through the full cycle of creating IT products in 2.5 months.

Having united in groups, young specialists will develop IT solutions from scratch. In 2026, the company plans to conduct four streams of BigTech Shifts and reach more than 800 talented students from all over the country.

First, participants will work on three tasks to digitalize the company's processes. The first involves creating an interactive dashboard for monitoring and analyzing the personnel reserve, which will allow you to predict the needs for new employees, fill key vacancies faster and wisely invest in personnel development.

The second task is aimed at developing a service – a “single window” for employees with an AI assistant in their personal account, capable of automating interaction with HR, managers and corporate systems.

The third task involves creating a common message management center. It will allow you to quickly distribute information from one channel to several messengers at once, reduce manual labor costs, simplify communication and minimize information loss between different platforms. Such a service is often needed by distributed teams and specialists who simultaneously work with different departments and contractor companies. In their work, participants will use modern IT tools, including the Sfera software development platform. Ready-made solutions will reduce time for routine tasks by 20% and speed up processing requests from employees.

For the first stream, IT holding T1 selected 56 young specialists from partner universities: MSTU. Bauman, Financial University, Moscow Aviation Institute, National Research University Higher School of Economics-Perm, Izhevsk State Technical University, UrFU, Samara University and RSRTU.

“Technology is developing rapidly, and knowledge from lectures can become outdated faster than the student has time to apply it in work. Therefore, it is now critically important to combine training with applied tasks. It is not surprising that 36% of young professionals say there is a lack of practice in universities. We took this request into account and are providing the opportunity to participate in the BigTech Shift, starting from the 1st year, so that young talents can keep up with changes in the IT industry,” noted Ekaterina Kolesnikova, Deputy General Director of the T1 IT Holding for Personnel.

Each participant in the BigTech Shift will be assigned an individual mentor, and a group of students will be assigned a mentor from the participants of the 2024 and 2025 IT camp. Moreover, the training program includes a series of consultations, intermediate pitchings and defense of final decisions. The finale of the project will be the awarding of the teams that presented the most effective and ready-to-implement IT products.

T1 IT Holding systematically cooperates with universities to improve the practice-oriented nature of IT education: helps develop educational programs, introduces IT tools into the educational process, organizes career guidance events and participates in the working group to create a new model of engineering education – the project is being implemented under the leadership of the Russian Government. Together with its partners, the company strives to create a training system for personnel whose skills will not become obsolete immediately after graduation.
