The deposit system in Poland launched in October 2025. According to its assumptions, a deposit of PLN 50 is charged when purchasing drinks in plastic bottles, and PLN 1 for glass bottles. These packages can then be returned to vending machines located inside or next to stores and thus recover the funds.
The author of the Zbieram_Butelki_Poznan profile on TikTok has been walking through garbage cans for some time now, collecting bottles covered by a deposit and returning them to the vending machine. He reports on an ongoing basis, showing how much money he earned as a result.

One of his last photos on TikTok met with great interest from Internet users. They have already been viewed almost 540,000 times. people. The author showed the results of his one-day “work” – collecting plastic bottles from garbage bins. According to his account, he collected as many as 1,200 packages, for which he received a refund of PLN 600.

Under the TikToker's photo, some Internet users began to share their experiences with giving away bottles and the money they received for them. The most common amounts were around PLN 20-50. Among the commenters there was also a small group of people who admitted that after returning the bottles they received PLN 120, 125 and even PLN 240.
