On April 30, during the big spring cleanup of Krasnoyarsk, residents tidied up 1,306 hectares of city territory, collecting 10,770 cubic meters of garbage (1,077 KamAZ). Also, 4,516 unauthorized advertisements and 276 graffiti were eliminated. These data were announced by the mayor's office.
52,975 people and 1,798 enterprises took part in the cleanup. In all areas, activists cleaned up squares, parks, courtyards, embankments, undeveloped areas and undemarcated areas, which for various reasons cannot be included in the regular city cleaning plan.
Sergey Vereshchagin and Mikhail Kotyukov worked together with the Krasnoyarsk residents. The mayor was cleaning up territory near the Victory Memorial in the village of Solontsy, and the governor together with the participants of the “Siberian Character” program, he tidied up the Memory Alley in Tatyshev Park.
Let us remind you that initially the cleanup day in Krasnoyarsk was going to be held on April 25, but due to unfavorable weather conditions it was postponed. The authorities decided to organize the cleaning on a shortened working Thursday, on the eve of the May long weekend, so that residents could devote the holidays to relaxation.
