Experts at the T1 Forum discussed the opportunities and risks of introducing artificial intelligence for business

Experts at the T1 Forum discussed how to develop artificial intelligence capabilities to reduce business risks.

“The world is changing under the influence of AI, and business is forced to adapt at maximum speed: from chat assistants we are moving to multi-agent systems and “action assistants” without a person,” said Sergey Golitsyn, head of T1 AI (T1 IT holding).

According to him, in these conditions, the patchwork implementation of AI agents threatens chaos, and ignoring security risks and shadow AI leads to direct losses for business. How AI changes the rules of the game in business, experts spoke at the session “AI and Human 2.0: from experiments to a managed system” at the T1 forum.

As noted General Director of WMT AI Igor Nikitin, AI is comparable to electricity in terms of the scale of changes it produces. Because of this, the paradigm of professions is being revised: human experience and experience are devalued if there is a specialist nearby who works closely with AI. These skills, according to Nikitin, need to be constantly improved.

“Artificial intelligence is a gym. I can’t promise you anything after two training sessions, but in three months, when thousands of dialogues have accumulated, you will see: you and the AI together can do much more than what you did before,” Igor emphasized Nikitin.

Senior Managing Director of the Moscow Exchange for retail business and marketplace Financial Services Igor Alutin said: “AI is radically changing the role of the leader. Every top manager is required to be proficient in AI—to be able not only to “scramble”, but also to assemble prototypes of digital solutions using vibecoding. Today, our company is building “AI factories”—bundles of agents who themselves test hypotheses and develop new products, and the leader manages not only the people, but also the architecture of these factories.”

In a large bank, AI is no longer a set of beautiful pilots, but a conveyor belt that daily produces and updates models for real business processes, he emphasized Denis Surzhko, Deputy Head of the Data Analysis and Modeling Department, Vice President of VTB Bank.

“When interacting with AI, we are not working with physics and chemistry, but with social and economic systems that are constantly changing, so the model is not an artifact, but a process. It needs to be retrained, its characteristics reviewed, its quality controlled, otherwise after a few months it turns into a source of errors and financial losses,” noted Denis Surzhko.

Security AI Expert technical director of GC “Solar” Evgeniy Fedorov warned against plunging into the euphoria of AI agents: the risks of leaks through AI services are growing exponentially. At the same time, he emphasized that up to 80% of employees use external AI tools bypassing the rules.

“Shadow AI is a given. If you try to disable it, nothing will happen – employees will still use external services. At the same time, about 60% of companies do not control incoming and outgoing traffic in the neural network. Therefore, businesses should recognize these changes in employee behavior, provide people with convenient and safe tools and teach them how to use them. We at Solar are also considering this factor to develop an ecosystem of solutions that control AI traffic and ensure data protection,” emphasized Evgeny Fedorov.

“The task of leaders is not to “wind up more agents,” but to build a scalable and safe architecture where AI capabilities and control over them grow synchronously,” summed up Sergei Golitsyn.
