A Chinese man swatted a fly that landed on his face and lost an eye.
As the media write, the man killed a small fly that had landed on his face, and within an hour his left eye turned red, swollen and began to hurt. After some time, the situation worsened and he decided to go to the hospital.
The medications did not help – the eye continued to hurt and practically could not see. It turned out that the inflammation was caused by a bacterial infection from a swatted drain fly.
The infection could have spread to the man's brain, so doctors decided to perform surgery to remove the patient's left eyeball.
