Composer Alexey Rybnikov withdraws his songs from streaming platforms. And this is the soundtrack to the TV movie “That Same Munchausen”, the songs “Bu-ra-ti-no” and tracks from “The Mustachioed Nanny” – what your kids listen to every day.
Rybnikov sued a number of platforms. Before the court's decision, the composer asked to limit access to the tracks – the request was granted. Some services no longer have the soundtrack to the TV movie “That Same Munchausen”, the song “Bu-ra-ti-no!” and tracks from “Mustachioed Nanny”. With VPN everything is still open.
As representatives of the composer explained to Mash, Rybnikov previously worked with streaming services through his licensee, who provided platforms with licenses for the commercial use of works. But in 2022 the contract was terminated. The author did not give anyone else the right to grant sublicenses to users. The services continued to post works on their platforms, without paying Alexey any money.
