UEFA announced during the evening the TV rights holders for Champions League matches for 19 countries for the period 2027-2031.
In Romania, DigiSport was declared the winner, which has exclusivity on the competition starting from the play-off phase. Market information is that the station will sublicense the competition to Prima Sport.

UEFA announced that a “unique, highly competitive process has been created which has generated strong interest from a wide range of media organisations”.
“These included incumbent broadcasters, new market entrants, global digital platforms as well as local pay and free-to-air channels,” UEFA's official statement said.
In Romania, the rights were won by DigiSport. The television station will have exclusive coverage of all Champions League matches, in the period 2027-2031.
Market sources say that there is already an interest from PrimaSport to also broadcast the competition in the period 2027-2031 and that until the start of the new competitive season there will be discussions and negotiations with the RCS&RDS post.
“There is a winner for Romania who can sublicense the matches as it happened in the past. Depending on discussions and negotiations, the matches will also end up on PrimaSport“, stated people from the industry.
Europa League TV rights up for grabs
UEFA also stated that at this moment the rights for the Europa League have not been granted to any Romanian broadcaster. In the current season, TV rights for EL were held by PrimaSport and DigiSport.
