Robert Badea brought the first gold for Romania to the European Junior Championships in Samorin

Robert Badea (17 years old) was imposed in an incredible way, leading from one end to the other, in the 400 m mixed test in the European Junior Championships. Aissia Prisecariu (18 years old) also won a bronze medal at 200 m back.
Robert Badea defended his European junior title in the 400 m mixed test, managing to climb the first step of the podium at Samorin, after doing it in Vilnius in 2024.

The 17 -year -old Romanian entered the arena with a smile on his lips in the applause and encouragement of the gallery formed by the parents of the tricolor swimmers. After Thursday's silver from 200 m mixed, Badea managed a fantastic race at 400 m mixed, dominating from one end to the other and arriving in 4: 18.22. Tired, he did not enjoy too much, seeking to find his breath. In the stands, his parents, present at Samorin, hugged.
The Romanian was followed by the Spanish Cristobas Vargas Trujillo (4: 19.26) and the Turk onur ege Oksuz (4: 19.92).

Bronze medal for Aissia Prisecariu
The distinction of Robert Badea was the fourth for the Romanian delegation. Also, on Friday, Aissia Prisecariu climbed to the third step of the podium in the 200 m rear test with a time of 2: 13.10. E was overcome by Estella Llum Tonth Nollgen (2: 10.02) and Nahia Garrido Malvar (2: 12.47). Daria Silișteanu brought the first medal on Wednesday to Romania at the Samorin competition, climbing on the third step of the podium 50 m back, and on Thursday, Robert Badea won a silver at 200 m mixed.
At the previous edition of the EC junior, Romania won seven distinctions, four gold, two silver and one bronze.
The Samorin competition is a test for the junior in Romania, they will end the summer in Otopeni, where the World Junior Championships will take place between August 19-24.
