Ukraine, together with five partner countries, created CORPUS – Coalition for Resilient Procurement and Unified Support, a multinational coalition in the field of defense support. It included the Defense Procurement Agency of the Logistics Support Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and procurement agencies of partner countries – Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden and the UK. As reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on April 30, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in Kyiv.
“CORPUS will become an extensive system of procurement agencies of partner countries. This will allow us to better plan purchases, form reliable supply chains, and identify weak links. Also, we will exchange experiences, solutions and tools, strengthening each other,” said Artem Romanyukov, head of the directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the director of the Defense Procurement Agency of Ukraine DOT Arsen Zhumadilov, for Ukraine this is “an opportunity to scale up the experience of providing troops, formed during a full-scale war, and for partners to gain access to practical solutions that already work in real conditions.”
The coalition will be open to new members “subject to adherence to the memorandum and unanimous support of the board of directors.”
