After Peluza Cătălin Hîldan and Peluza Sud Dinamo jointly launched an ultimatum for management regarding the new coat of arms of the Bucharest club, the officials of the red-white group responded with a statement on social networks.
The decision to change the logo of the club was received with many negative reactions by the Dynamo community. During the day of May 5, the ultras groups requested the annulment of the decision, and Dinamo responded with a press release with explanations, approximately 24 hours later.
The management of the club explained that it was aware of the wave of negative reactions, but the change of visual identity was necessary in order to participate in European cups. UEFA regulations require clubs to have full control over their visual identity.
The club also came with a conciliatory tone and conveyed that the process of changing the visual identity continues and this is only the first step, and the supporters will be more involved in future decisions.
The official statement from Dinamo: “We read your messages, we felt your revolt and we listen to you”
“Dear fans,
Two days ago we launched a new visual identity. But I quickly understood that, at such a sensitive moment, it was not enough to present an image. We had to explain the context, talk openly about the reasons and, above all, not forget that Dinamo's identity is not reduced to a graphic element.
We've read your messages, we've felt your outrage, and we're listening. We know that, for you, the logo is not just a drawing on a t-shirt. It is memory, belonging, sacrifice and the connection between generations. It is part of the dynamist soul.
Why this logo, now?
This change was driven by clear legal and sporting obligations. UEFA regulations, applicable from the 2025–2026 season, require clubs participating in European competitions to have full control over their visual identity.
At the same time, the current legal situation, where certain elements of the club's historic identity are owned by third parties, it significantly restricted the design possibilities and required a quick decision, necessary to protect the club.
We recognize that the nature of this process, imposed by legal constraints and tight deadlines, has caused us to be less transparent than you and we would have liked. This lack of transparency has created a chasm and we own it.
However, we understand that urgency and constraints do not negate the need for dialogue. And here we had to do more.
About the process that followed the launch
We have now initiated a dialogue with the supporters and the Dynamo communities. I have listened to your arguments, complaints and reactions. I understood why the form presented evoked intense emotions and why the way this change was communicated created distance.
The step taken now should be seen as a first step, not as a final decision on the visual identity of the club. The presented identity is an administrative and legal starting point, necessary at this time, but does not represent the end of the process.
The next stage we want to be built differently. The supporters will have a real role in the process of defining the visual identity of the club. Not formal, not decorative, not just for symbolic validation, but as a real voice with an impact on the decisions of an approach that must respect history, emotion and the dynamic spirit.
One thing remains unchanged: Dynamo is not made of pixels, lines or ink. Dynamo exists through the people who carry it forward.
You are the ones who kept the light on when darkness fell. You were there when no one else was, putting passion where others saw only ruin. We thank you, we listen and we value you. Dynamo. Same. Onward,” was the communique from Dinamo.
The communiqué shared by Peluza Cătălin Hîldan and Peluza Sud Dinamo: “Ultimatum!”
“Ultimatum! Dinamo's identity is not negotiated, but respected. It does not follow trends or adapt to the market.
We demand the cancellation, within a maximum of 24 hours, of the decision that compromises the spirit of dynamism. Otherwise, we will act accordingly”, was the statement of the ultras posted on social networks.
