The teenager ended up in a monastery in Italy. This is what happened to him there

According to “Gość Niedzielny”, with the consent of the judge and social services, the boy could take up work in the cloistered monastery of the Poor Clares. The decision was his own, which was emphasized as an important element of the change process.
Sister Cristiana Scandura, involved in prison ministry, has been creating rehabilitation programs for years and it was she who invited a group of minors to the convent on Boxing Day. Initially, the young people were surprised by the similarity between a prison and a cloister, although the difference between them is that a monastery is a choice and prison is a punishment.
The 17-year-old himself did not understand why the nuns voluntarily chose isolation. Over time, however, he began to participate in parish life and religious practices. Working at the monastery became an opportunity for him to reflect on himself and his life.
The silence in the monastery helped him discover that it was not a burden, but a space for internal order. Teacher Simona Marciano admitted that the idea was initially met with skepticism. Over time, however, everyone noticed the positive effects of this form of resocialization. The experiment was considered successful.
