On May 4, the Bank of Russia will issue eight commemorative coins of the “Cities of Labor Valor” series into circulation. As the regulator said in a statement, coins “Barnaul”, “Kamensk-Uralsky”, “Kirov”, “Kolomna”, “Komsomolsk-on-Amur”, “Krasnoyarsk”, “Magadan” and “Penza” will be issued.

Coins made of base metals in denomination of 10 rubles have the shape of a circle with a diameter of 22 mm. The circulation of each coin will be 1 million pieces.

On the reverse side of the coins “Barnaul”, “Kamensk-Uralsky”, “Kolomna”, “Komsomolsk-on-Amur”, “Magadan” and “Penza” there are relief images of a fragment of the decoration of the stele “City of Labor Valor”, on the coins “Kirov” and “Krasnoyarsk” there are images of a fragment of the monument “Kirov residents – home front workers” and an image of a fragment memorial complex in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory – the sculptural composition “Woman and teenage boy assembling a mortar,” respectively.

The Bank of Russia notes that on the reverse side of the coins, the corresponding name of the city is depicted along the circumference at the top, and the inscription “Cities of Labor Valor” at the bottom.

On the front side of the coin there are inscriptions on the ring around the circumference: in the upper part – “Bank of Russia”, in the lower part – “2026”. On the left and right of the outer ring there are images of laurel and oak branches. In the center of the disk there is the number “10” and the inscription “rubles” below it, indicating the denomination of the coin. Inside the number “0” there is a protective element in the form of the number “10” and the inscription “rub”, observed from different viewing angles to the plane of the coin. At the bottom of the disc is the trademark of the Moscow Mint.

The issued coins are a legal means of cash payment on the territory of the Russian Federation and are required to be accepted at face value in all types of payments without restrictions, the message notes.
