In Moscow, three men kidnapped a man and took him away in a rented car, but on the way it was blocked by a car sharing service.
The attackers approached their victim right in the courtyard of a residential building. After forcing the man into the car, they drove off.
The trio expected to receive a ransom of 300 thousand rubles from the hostage, but along the way the car rental was blocked. The would-be kidnappers were detained by traffic cops and the prisoner was released.
A criminal case of kidnapping and extortion has been opened.
