When the weather is not pleasant: shish kebab in a frying pan with vegetables – juicy pieces and a grill effect in 12 minutes

And in an ordinary frying pan you can cook aromatic shish kebab – this will require a minimum of time. The author of the Zen channel “Our Cozy Home” shared the recipe.

Ingredients

You will need:

  • chicken breast – 600 g;
  • boiled potatoes – 3-4 pcs.;
  • kefir – 300 ml;
  • flour – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • soy sauce – 60 ml;
  • mustard – 1 tbsp. l.;
  • dry garlic – 1 tsp;
  • sweet paprika – 1 tsp;
  • turmeric – 0.5 tsp;
  • salt.

You also need skewers where you will string pieces of meat along with potatoes. And if you're cooking for children, add sliced zucchini or bell peppers to the recipe.

Cooking method

Cut the breast into even cubes. Prepare the marinade: mix kefir, soy sauce, mustard, dry garlic and paprika in a deep container, add salt. Marinate the meat for some time, ideally in the evening and overnight, putting it in the refrigerator.

Cut the boiled potatoes into pieces the same size as the meat pieces.

Thread the potatoes and meat onto skewers. Dredge them in the flour and turmeric mixture and then lightly shake them off.

Grill the kebab over medium heat without a lid so that the crust seals the internal juices and the potatoes brown and soften. When you turn the skewer over, sprinkle it with a little plain water. The skewers do not need to be laid out too tightly – there should be air between them.

Total frying time is about 12 minutes.

By the way, to create a grilled effect, you can add smoky steak sauce or smoked paprika to the meat.

When serving, sprinkle the kebabs with fresh parsley or green onions. Add fresh bread or flatbread and garlic or tomato sauce.
