On Monday, May 4, the “Victory Train” of the Krasnoyarsk Railway will arrive at the Krasnoyarsk station: its festive tour will end in the capital of the region with the largest historical reconstruction of a unique event – the arrival of a train with victorious soldiers from the front in May 1945.
Exactly at 12:00, the retro train will stop on the platform to the piercing whistle of a steam locomotive and the melody of a march performed by a military orchestra.
The historical reconstruction will take the form of an unusual performance with the participation of actors from Krasnoyarsk theaters. It will consist of a series of vocal and choreographic compositions – a kind of journey through time: from the announcement of the start of the war on June 22, 1941 through key battles to the Great Victory.
The culmination of the program will be a choreographic performance to music from the famous “Leningrad Symphony” by Dmitry Shostakovich – a special tribute to the heroism and resilience of the Soviet people.
At the solemn meeting, the leaders of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, the Government and the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will congratulate Krasnoyarsk residents on the upcoming Victory Day.
Guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with the exhibition of military equipment located on the platforms of the “Victory Train” and on the station square – these are howitzers, anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns from the times of the Great Patriotic War. Volunteers will tell you about the history of the exhibits. Children and adults will have the opportunity to visit the cabin of a steam locomotive along with the drivers.

All guests of the holiday will be treated to a traditional soldier's treat – porridge from the field kitchen.
Let us remind you that a special festive composition was formed on the eve of May 9 as part of a special project dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory. The “Victory Train” has already visited four cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – Ilansky, Kansk, Nazarovo and Achinsk.
During the Great Patriotic War, more than 16 thousand Krasnoyarsk railway workers fought on the battlefields. The railway workers sent 139 locomotives to the front – almost half of the entire locomotive fleet. 56 Krasnoyarsk locomotive crews – drivers and assistants – worked on front-line routes.
