Steaua, drastic fine for the last two trips!

Steaua, the team in 4th place in the League 2 play-off, was severely fined for the behavior of the fans in the last two trips in the championship, namely the one to Sepsi and the one to Voluntari.
Steaua received a cumulative penalty of 94,920 lei (approximately 18,500 euros) for the two trips.

“On the basis of art. 82.2 related to art. 83.2 letter c with the application of art. 54.2 of the RD, the Steaua Bucharest club is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 37,968 lei”, the Disciplinary Commission sent in connection with the Sfântu Gheorghe match.
“Based on art. 82.2.b related to art. 83.2 letter c with the application of art. 54.1 of the RD, the Steaua Bucharest club is sanctioned with a sports penalty of 56,952 lei”, the Disciplinary Commission for the match at the Anghel Iordănescu stadium in Voluntari sent.
The articles on the basis of which Steaua was fined by the Disciplinary Commission:

Art. 82.2: “The visiting club is responsible for the irregular behavior of its own groups of supporters and, depending on the gravity of the facts, may be sanctioned in a similar way to the host club and/or with the measure of banning its own gallery or its own group of supporters at games played away or on neutral ground from 1 to 10 games. Supporters occupying the away section of the stadium are considered to be supporters of the visiting team, unless it is proven the opposite”

Art. 83.2 lit. c: “displaying racist, xenophobic and offensive inscriptions in any form, chanting offensive and obscene words/phrases or emitting sounds for offensive purposes, are sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of article 54 of this regulation”

At the match in Sf. Gheorghe, which took place the day after Mircea Lucescu's funeral, the Stella ultras used the tragic event to attack Gigi Becali, the patron of rival FCSB. During the match at Sfântu Gheorghe, from Peluza Sud Steaua it was heard: “Mircea, take Gigi too!”.
