Captain Ionuț Larie admitted that the situation is delicate, recalling the blow in 2009, when Farul was relegated to the second league.
“The boys are disappointed, but also aware of the position in the ranking. I told them that, unfortunately, Denis and I have experienced relegation before and it is the biggest black mark in our careers.
We both regret that moment and hope it never happens again. The boys are motivated to prove that Farul deserves to be in the first league“, explained the 39-year-old veteran.

The centre-back has revealed what his side need to do in recent games and who is to blame for the Blues going from being crowned champions to fighting to avoid relegation in just three seasons.
“If we have the same determination and attitude from training I think we will win. But we have to think that we have the fewest goals scored in the play-outs and we have to get the strikers more balls in front of goal to score.
If we don't score, we can't win. It is difficult to explain this fall, although it was explained to us that Atletico Madrid also won the championship in Spain and after two years were relegated.
I think most people in this club bear some of the blame, but most of it lies with us, the players. We are on the field and we can score points to keep the bar high”, added Ionuț Larie.
High stakes in the confrontation with FC Botoșani
Much more temperate than at the first conferences after coming to the technical bench of the Constantinians, Flavius Stoican is counting on his students' desire for revenge.
“We can and we want more, because the potential is there. We have the opportunity to go up the table, to prove that we deserve more, to show people that they are quality players in the remaining three games,” said the 49-year-old coach.
The first opportunity for the white-blues to take a big step towards avoiding relegation is the duel with FC Botoșani, scheduled for Saturday, from 5:30 p.m., at home, in the 7th stage of the play-out.
“If we play a big game on Saturday and win, we will take an important option to stay in the first league without relegation. It would increase the excitement and confidence and we would approach the last two games with more composure.
We are aware that it will not be easy because we are meeting a team that plays football”, said the coach from Constanta, who will be able to rely again on defender Bogdan Tîru and midfielder Narek Grygorian, recovered from injuries, while Gustavo Marins is uncertain due to medical problems.
