Desperate to reach Inter, under the command of Cristi Chivu, Ademola Lookman did not show up at Atalanta training on Monday.

After, on Sunday, he had posted a message on the social networks in which he asked Atalanta to give him the OK for the transfer to Inter, Ademola Lookman decided to force the club's leaders' hand.

Atalanta's heads had understood with lookman not to go to an Italian club

According to Sky Sport Italy, he “jumped” on Monday over the training session he had scheduled during the afternoon. A personalized program, to recover after muscle injury suffered about two weeks ago.

Club reaction? Officially, none. On sources, Sky Sport journalists found out, however, that the heads of Atalanta “are very disappointed by the player. They had understood with the lookman that they can leave this summer, but not to an Italian club.”

Inter has decided to increase the offer for Ademola Lookman

At the same time, Gazzetta Dello Sport writes that Inter has decided to get closer to the amount required by Bergamasci in exchange for the Nigerian striker, respectively 50 million euros: “it will exceed 45 million euros, including bonuses, and will approach 50 million euros.”

Nerazzurrii are already understood with the player. The lookman would sign a 5-year contract, until 2030, for a salary of 4.5 million euros annually, ie 10 million euros per season.

In the last three years at Atalanta I gave everything. Both as a player and as a person. I have always wore this shirt with pride, trying to represent the club and the city of Bergamo with heart, passion and dedication.
Winning the Europa League and the celebration of that evening in Dublin, along with my teammates and our fans, was one of the most beautiful and proud moments in my career. I am still passing by the streams only when I think about it. From the first day, this place was my house and I always tried to respond to the affection I received – even when, behind the scenes, things were not easy. And that's why it is so difficult to write these words.
I loved every moment, but now, after three wonderful years spent in Bergamo, I feel that time has come to go further and live a new adventure. In the past, several clubs have shown their interest, but I have always been loyal. However, the owners of the club and I agreed that it is the right time for a change and I was clearly told that, in the case of a correct offer, I will be allowed to leave. From sins, although an offer has arrived according to what has been discussed, the club now blocks the opportunity, for reasons that I cannot understand. I'm talking.
I think it's time to say it's enough. I can confirm that I have submitted an official transfer request. Even in the most difficult times, many of which have remained private and confidential, I have always put the club, fans and team in the first place, hoping that it will not reach it. But unfortunately, now I think there are few alternatives. Fanilor – the heart of this club – I want to say the following: I'm very sorry to get here. I hope you can understand how difficult this situation is.
For me it is just about defending what I think is fair and fair. Your support has always been incredible and the connection we built is something special. I wish that with the club to find an amicable solution so that it is good for both parties.
With love and gratitude, Ademola.
