In her complaint, the woman said that she chose a flour product with meat and rice based on the price tag, but took a bite and realized that there was a potato inside it. The seller refused to take the bitten pie back and only offered to compensate for the difference in price. The buyer asked the specialists if this was legal.

The department explained that in this situation, consumer rights were violated. The seller indicated the wrong name on the price tag, thereby misleading.

The offer to compensate for the difference in price is also unlawful. According to the law, the buyer has the right to choose one of two options: demand a replacement, that is, return the pie with potatoes and receive the one stated on the price tag, or refuse the purchase and return the money.

If the seller refuses to comply with legal requirements, experts advise filing a formal complaint with Rospotrebnadzor. You can leave it on the website.
