“Fakt” reminds that in 2026 the indexation of pensions was 5.3%. and was lower than in 2025. However, next year promises to be the worst in years.

The lowest pension indexation in years. There are calculations
The daily reports that inflation is expected to be 2.5% this year and next, and the increases in pensions depend on it. According to the findings of “Fakt”, next year's indexation will amount to 3.18%. This is not only less than in 2026 – the indexation in 2027 may be the lowest since 2019.

According to this forecast, the minimum pension will increase by PLN 57 per month. From 1978 PLN 49 groszy gross to 2041 PLN 60 groszy gross. “Fakt” prepared specific calculations of how pensions may increase after indexation:

- the pension of PLN 2,000 gross will increase by PLN 58.06 per month,
- the pension of PLN 2,500 gross will increase by PLN 62.57 per month,
- the pension of PLN 3,000 gross will increase by PLN 75.09 per month,
- the pension of PLN 3,500 gross will increase by PLN 87.6 per month,
- the pension of PLN 4,000 gross will increase by PLN 101.12 per annum,
- the pension of PLN 4,500 gross will increase by PLN 115.53 per month,
- the pension of PLN 5,000 gross will increase by PLN 126.15 per annum,
- the pension of PLN 5,500 gross will increase by PLN 138.66 per month,
- the pension of PLN 6,000 gross will increase by PLN 151.17 per month.

However, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy does not rule out changes in the indexation mechanism. It is to be analyzed on an ongoing basis.
