The increase in like-for-like sales is 6.3%, “mainly due to the growing number of customers,” according to the company's announcement.

“Especially in Italy and Spain, existing and new Action stores achieved very good results. Action's summer assortment also performed well, from picnic items to holiday essentials. The like-for-like sales result was influenced by lower levels of consumer sentiment, especially in France,” we read in the press release.

“So far this year, we have welcomed an average of 20.6 million customers per week in stores, up from 20.2 million,” comments Hajir Hajji, CEO of the Action chain.
