At the Krasnoyarsk airport, customs officers stopped an attempt by a Russian flying to Tashkent to illegally export a large amount of money. money.

“During the search, it turned out that part of the money was in a belt bag hidden in a backpack, the other was in the pockets of trousers. After counting the banknotes, inspectors found that the passenger had a total of 53 thousand Russian rubles and 40 thousand US dollars,” the press service of the Krasnoyarsk customs said.

Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 200.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of cash on a large scale).

Let us remind you that from March 2022, the export from Russia of cash foreign currency in the amount of over 10 thousand dollars. Cash in rubles exceeding the equivalent of 10 thousand dollars, when moving across the customs border of the EAEU, is subject to mandatory written declaration.
