The famous composer condemned the verification of Auster's “Bad Advice”

April 29 11:50

Composer Maxim Dunaevsky opposed the verification of Grigory Oster's book. Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, called for studying “Bad Advice” for compliance with correct pedagogical guidelines.

On the air of the “Accent” program on OTV-Ekaterinburg, Dunaevsky called this idea harmful and unnecessary.

“Officials are trying very hard and are overdoing it. Fight with books, with Grigory Oster, whom children adore? This is the appearance of hectic work, and it leads to bad results,” the composer said.

According to the Ural Meridian news agency, from April 21 to April 26, sales of Auster’s books on marketplaces increased by almost 500% compared to the same period last year. If we count from the beginning of April, the increase was 220%.

Let us remind you that this is not the first time that the work has attracted the attention of law enforcement officers. So, in 2024, information appeared that allegedly in the Krasnoyarsk Territory they were asking to remove the book from the shelves. The statement was later refuted and the copies were not confiscated.

“Bad Advice” by Grigory Oster is a children's book written in the early 90s. In it, the author gives “wrong” advice to children, which is better not to follow, but to violate. The author himself said: “My bad advice is an inoculation against stupidity. I take a situation and bring it to its logical conclusion, and the child sees how not to think. Children read harmful advice, they seem to live it inside themselves, and they no longer need to act as described in the harmful advice.”
