Orlen under tax pressure. Billions of profits despite a slight year-on-year decline

The net profit of the Orlen Group for 2025 amounted to PLN 2,648 million and was lower by PLN 99 million year-on-year, the company announced in the consolidated annual report published on Wednesday. It shows that in 2025, capital expenditure in the Orlen Group amounted to over PLN 33 billion.

“After taking into account tax burdens in the amount of PLN 6,365 million, the net result of the Orlen Group reached PLN 2,648 million and was lower by PLN 99 million year on year,” the company reported in its stock exchange report for 2025.

According to the reported data, EBITDA for 2025 of the Orlen Group amounted to PLN 24,200 million, whereas a year earlier it was PLN 23,721 million.

At the same time, Orlen announced that its capital expenditure in 2025 reached PLN 33 billion and 45 million, while in 2024 it was PLN 32 billion and 364 million.

According to the concern, the total assets of the Orlen Group at the end of 2025 amounted to PLN 265 billion 48 million and were higher by PLN 9 billion 653 million compared to the end of 2024. (PAP)
