It is therefore not surprising that mock-ups of both missiles, which appeared in Rzeszów on the occasion of a conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, quickly attracted media attention. It is mainly about the FP-9 missile, which is to have a range of 850 km and a warhead weighing as much as 800 kg. Based on the models shown in Rzeszów, experts calculated that it will be approximately 12.5 m long and over one meter in diameter.

Ukraine is building huge weapons

These dimensions were estimated on the basis of a mock-up of the smaller FP-7 missile – we know that the 7th missile was built on the basis of the Russian 48N6 missile, 7.5 m long and approx. 50 cm in diameter. If experts' calculations are correct, this means that the Ukrainian company Fire Point is building a really huge rocket. Even larger than the Russian 9M723 Iskander ballistic missile and even the famous Scud ballistic missiles.

We are therefore waiting with even greater interest for the official presentation of this weapon in its final version, and there are many indications that this will happen relatively soon. Work on FP-9 is expected to be completed this summerso it is possible that the missile will start harassing Russia in 2026.

Experts are increasingly asking themselves another question related to this arsenal – whether Ukraine will dare to use it to attack Moscow.
