According to the TV channel, Russia is now using a domestic vaccine against tick-borne encephalitis. At the same time, in 2025, production of the drug decreased: RNC Pharma analysts estimated the decline at 11.3%, and a total of 5.25 million doses were released onto the market. Experts believe that the shortage may be temporary, as producers worked at increased speed in March. New supplies of the drug to the region are expected in May.

The website of the Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory previously reminded that the region belongs to areas endemic for tick-borne encephalitis. The largest number of calls due to tick bites occurs in the spring and summer. The department notes that the most reliable method of prevention remains early vaccination and at least two weeks before going outdoors.

The Ministry of Health also recommends using closed clothing, repellents and regular self-examination when walking and working in summer cottages. If you are bitten by a tick, you must go to the nearest emergency room to properly remove the insect and resolve the issue of emergency prevention.
