“Sports taught me that real progress is not spectacular, but repetitive.” Interview with athlete ANCA BUCUR, Miss Fitness Universe

Anca Bucur is one of the most important fitness athletes in the world and a name that put Romania on the map of international competitions. Holder of several Miss Fitness Universe titles, Anca has distinguished herself with a combination of endurance, work power, aesthetics, discipline and long-term consistency.
Her path began in performance aerobics, where she was part of the national team and participated in international competitions, an intense experience that built her physical and mental foundation for later success in fitness.
Beyond the stage, Anca is a trainer and active promoter of a balanced lifestyle. Through the content it creates in the digital environment, it conveys not only results, but also the process behind them. She inspires a growing community of people to invest in their physical and mental health, push boundaries and live a more active lifestyle.
Today, her role goes beyond performance: she is a mother, a mentor and an example of adaptation and balance between personal life and passion for exercise.
How did you discover your passion for fitness and what motivated you to go this far?
The passion for fitness came naturally as a continuation of years spent in aerobic gymnastics. Sports were a part of my life as a child, and the transition to fitness was, in a way, an extension of what I had already built. Motivation has never been just about results, it's about wanting to see how far I can go when I fully commit to a goal. For me, performance means consistency, not isolated moments, and progress comes from small things, repeated daily.
Performance fitness requires long-term consistency. How did you stay motivated?
The motivation was not always at the same level, but the discipline was constant. I learned to rely on routine and clear goals. Knowing that this period was limited in time helped me stay focused and give my best at every stage. When you realize that you have limited time to do something extraordinary, you start treating each day differently. At the same time, it helps me work with devices that organize my day and track my progress. For example, I often use the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G phone for photos and videos during workouts, and the fact that it moves smoothly even when multitasking, does not overheat easily, and lasts a full day of heavy use without problems gives me extra control and continuity.
How did you build your champion mindset?
I built the mentality over time, through experiences, failures and small daily victories. Sports taught me that real progress is not spectacular, but repetitive. I learned to be patient, stay consistent, and trust the process, even when the results don't appear immediately. I believe true strength comes from the ability to keep going, even when it's hard.
What was the most challenging moment in your journey?
There were several difficult moments, but the most challenging were the ones where the physical fatigue and mental pressure piled up. Especially during the time when I practiced gymnastics, homesickness was very present and intense. During those times, it helped me go back to my original “why” and remember how much I want to become a great champion.
What does “tough as a Titan” mean to you?
To me, it's not about being invincible. It means falling down and getting back up every time. “Tough as a Titan” is about consistency in the ordinary days, not just in the spectacular moments. It's about going on even when nobody's watching, when there's no applause. In my day-to-day life, this translates into discipline, but also balance. It's no longer about the extreme, it's about sustainability.

You used a phone from the REDMI Note 15 series. How did it support you in key moments in your work?
The phone is an essential tool in my daily rhythm. I use it for organization, to communicate with the people I work with, but also to document the process behind the workouts. For me, it's not just about the content, it's about capturing reality exactly as it is. REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a good camera, a large battery, it is built strong enough to withstand training days, and the quietest ones, in the family. Bonus, it also has a premium looking design.
How does technology help you stay connected and organized?
Technology gives me clarity in a busy schedule. Being able to have everything organized in one place, from planning to communication, allows me to stay focused on what really matters to me. At the same time, it helps me stay connected to my community no matter where I am. It's important to be able to count on a very detailed phone camera and a battery that lasts.

Have you had situations where equipment or technology slowed you down?
Yes, and there are times when it gets frustrating, especially when you're already under pressure. For me, the ideal technology partner should not stand out, but work flawlessly, give me the security of a battery that keeps pace with all my projects, not to worry if I somehow drop the phone from my hand, in water or dust. I also need a device that allows me to shoot quality content, even on the move, like the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, which helps me a lot with stabilization, especially when I shot on the go, and the result is good enough that I no longer depend on extra equipment for simple things.
The REDMI Note 15 series is available for sale at XFF until April 30. Discover all the models of the series under promotion on this link: https://www.mi.com/ro/event/offer-exclusive-deals/
