Actor and radio host Alexey Veselkin has died. The 63-year-old Mayak presenter suffered from blood cancer for more than a year.
According to Mash, Veselkin died in his apartment in Mitin, Moscow, late in the evening from complications due to leukemia. According to radio host Sergei Stillavin, Alexey believed until the very end that he would be cured and wanted to work on the air, although he no longer had the strength.
Alexey Veselkin is an Honored Artist of Russia. He was the host of the children's show “I Want to Know Everything” on Radio Mayak and several programs on TV, and also played in the theater.
