Krasnoyarsk residents are invited to speed competitions for toddlers

On May 23, Krasnoyarsk will host the 12th family festival “Karapuz, let’s start!” Children will cover different distances by crawling or running depending on their age.

The city administration invites families to the multifunctional sports center No. 1 of the Siberian Federal University (82 Svobodny Ave., building 11). Participation is free.

398 children will take part in the festival – according to the number of years of Krasnoyarsk. As part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the event will be held under the motto “City of Friendly Kids.” Families are invited to come in costumes of the peoples of Russia, to create images that reflect the concept of friendship or unity in all their manifestations – from national ornaments in dresses to heroes of folk tales. 40 costumed toddlers and families, chosen by audience vote, will be awarded special prizes.

Little athletes will be divided into groups: 1) from 8 months to 1 year and 30 days – they have to crawl 10 meters; 2) from 1 year and 1 month to 2 years, the distance will be exactly 15 meters; 3) children from 2 years and 1 day to 3 years will overcome exactly 20 meters; 4) from 3 years and 1 day to 4 years and 1 month – run 40 meters (20 meters each way and back). The age of the participant is determined on the date of the festival, that is, May 23, 2026.

“Parents can agreemake the child laugh verbally and attract the attention of toyskami. The time it takes to cover the distance is not recorded. All participants in the starts will receive medals, diplomas, and souvenirs from the organizers, the mayor’s office said. – TThe traditional symbol of the holiday remains the ladybug, images inspired by it – are also welcome. In each age group, winners will be chosen in special nominations: “Lucky Number”, “Charming Twins”, “Birthday Boy”, “Largest Family”, etc.”

The organizers also promise educational and entertaining areas for children of all ages and accompanying adults.

Registration for festival starts on May 5 at 10:00 and will continue until the groups are complete. To participate, you must send an email to [email protected]. In the subject line, be sure to indicate “Toddlings, off to the start” and the group number (depending on the age of the participant); last name, first name, patronymic of one of the child’s parents; contact phone number, first name, last name and full date of birth of the child in the format (dd.mm.yyyy). All festival participants with sports starts must have an insurance policy. Upon registration two children each need to be sent a separate letter.
