The Ukrainians wanted to be sure. PLN 2 million worth of bombs fell on the Russian base

It was largely thanks to the support of aviation that the Russians achieved success on several key sections of the front. Using air superiority, the Kremlin was able to break through Ukraine's defensive positions, e.g. near Bakhmut, while in recent months Ukraine has also been making good use of its air potential.
The new recording shows what such land-air cooperation looks like. Infantry soldiers first discover the Russian base and then provide its coordinates to the command, which sends fighters to the area. In this particular case, it is a MiG-29 armed with two powerful HAMMER bombs that destroy the Russian facility.
The most dangerous bomb in the Ukrainian arsenal
HAMMER bombs are “smart” air-to-ground weapons adapted to operate in all weather conditions. This equipment consists of two elements mounted on the so-called a stupid bomb, without a precise targeting system – at the front there is a set that guides the bomb to the target, and at the back there is a set that increases the range of such weapons, thanks to which HAMMER can attack the enemy from a distance of over 70 km.

The “Hammer” can also be used with various types of bombs weighing from 125 to 1000 kg and hits the target with an accuracy of up to 1 meter. All these possibilities, however, come at the price of the set, which is estimated at approximately PLN 300,000. dollars, i.e. over one million zlotys.
Safran Electronics & Defense, the manufacturer of HAMMER bombs, has already announced that it plans to increase its production in 2026, so the “hammers” will probably be used even more often on the front in Ukraine.
