In Berezovka, a foreign woman was sent to a colony for trying to bribe the police

In Berezovka, a 50-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan was sent to a colony after she tried to bribe police officers. This was reported to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The woman came to the attention of law enforcement officers in April 2025. Law enforcement officers checked the foreigner’s documents and found out that she was in Russia illegally. In an attempt to avoid responsibility for violating immigration laws, she offered bribes to the police in the amount of 2 and 15 thousand rubles. However, the woman’s plan was not successful.
An administrative protocol was drawn up in relation to the citizen of Uzbekistan under Art. 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation by a foreign citizen of the regime of stay in the Russian Federation.” In addition, investigators from the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia initiated criminal cases under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempt to give a bribe”, Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted petty bribery.”
The Berezovsky District Court, based on the totality of crimes, sentenced the foreigner to imprisonment for 11 months in a general regime colony and a fine of 5 thousand rubles.
After serving her sentence, the woman will be expelled from Russia. The verdict came into force.
