A hospital in a village near Krasnoyarsk was flooded by rain due to failure of roof repairs (video)

In the village of Kedrovy near Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case was opened for negligence after the local hospital was flooded due to rain. The regional prosecutor's office reports this.

At the beginning of the year, the medical institution decided to reconstruct the roof. 15.5 million rubles were allocated for this under the “Healthcare” national project.

The contractor removed the old roof, but then suspended work because errors were discovered in the design documentation. Construction came to a standstill, and the municipality did not try to correct the situation.

During the spring rains, the building was left without protection from precipitation – water flooded the premises, damaging the ceilings, walls and decoration. Damage from the flood exceeded the cost of the original repair contract.

A temporary roof has now been installed on the site. The contract with the previous contractor was terminated, the work is continued by a new organization.
