AC Milan and Juventus they drew 0-0 in the derby of the 34th leg of Serie A, in a match where goal phases were extremely rare and spectacle was almost completely absent.

The game at the “San Siro” started at a slow pace, with both teams seeming more concerned with not making mistakes than taking offensive risks.

First half cleared, with one goal disallowed

The biggest chance of the first half belonged to the hosts, through Youssouf Fofana, whose shot went wide. Juventus managed to put the ball in the net before the break, but the success was cancelled.

After a quick combination, Francisco Conceicao found Khephren Thuram superbly, but VAR signaled an offside position. Otherwise, the first half was a poor one in terms of opportunities, with no shots on goal.

Low pace and after the break

The second half did not bring more intensity either. Both formations continued to evolve cautiously, and clear opportunities were lacking. The stats confirm the lack of offensive inspiration, with each team finishing the match with an extremely low xG.

AC Milan timidly tried to force the end, but the Torino defense resisted without emotion, and the table remained unchanged until the final whistle.

The title fight, almost decided

The draw doesn't help anyone much in the standings economy. AC Milan remain in 3rd place, 12 points behind leaders Inter Milan, with just four legs remaining. In this round, Inter drew at Turin, 2-2, while Napoli took advantage and won clearly, 4-0, against Cremonese.

The team coached by Cristian Chivu is very close to the title and can mathematically win it in the next stage, if they beat Parma.

The next round can officially decide the champion:

  • Inter Milan – Parma

  • Como – Naples

  • Sassuolo – AC Milan
