Poland Implements New Traffic Fine System for Ukrainian Vehicles

The Ministry of Digital Affairs in Poland announced that from September 4, Ukrainian license plates will no longer protect drivers from fines issued by traffic cameras. This change comes with the launch of a new system that allows Polish authorities to access Ukrainian vehicle registries to identify car owners.

Previously, the lack of such a mechanism often made it difficult to hold drivers of Ukrainian-registered vehicles accountable for traffic violations. This move aims to enhance road safety and ensure that all drivers adhere to traffic regulations in Poland.
