The moment when the cable of an installation breaks at a fun fair in Seville. Four people, injured

Four people, including two children, were injured Thursday after the cable of a thrill ride snapped at a fun fair in Seville, Spain, according to local media Diario de Sevilla.

The accident happened on Thursday, around 20.20, at the main attraction of the fair, called Steel Max, located on Calle del Infierno. This attraction consists of a cabin suspended by two mechanically tensioned lateral cables that propel it into the air.

The plant suffered a malfunction while it was in operation. Images captured by witnesses showed a cable of the installation breaking while it was in the air at speed.

The cabin hit hard against one of the poles of the installation and remained suspended from the other cable, at a height of approximately 5 meters.

As a result of the impact, two children who were in the cabin fell. They received medical attention at the scene but were taken to hospital for further medical examinations.

The district fair was closed after the incident. The police opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
