In Zheleznogorsk, a drunken offender was caught by the police and tried to escape.
While on duty in Zheleznogorsk, traffic inspectors noticed a Subaru car moving along the city streets at high speed. The police used a loudspeaker to demand that the offender stop. However, he ignored the demands and sharply increased the speed.
With the flashing lights and siren turned on, traffic police officers began to pursue the offender. As a result, the 27-year-old driver abandoned the car at garage cooperative No. 5 and attempted to escape, after which he was detained by traffic police inspectors.
Inspectors found that the young driver had previously been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules.
Investigators of the local police department initiated a criminal case against the offender under Art. 264.1 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record).
